Lustrous bixbyite crystal 9mm across sits aesthetically on pale rhyolite matrix. A number of small, gemmy, terminated and some double terminated topaz crystals reaching 6mm long are scattered at the base and a single topaz protrudes from once face of the bixbyite. The bixbyite is in excellent condition and shows the characteristic bevelling and stepped modifications at the edges and partly developed octahedral faces at the corners. Highly aesthetic thumbnail (technically a miniature, but it feels more like a good sized thumbnail).
